Sleeping Pillow Organic Latex Baby 50x30x5 (Medium)

We all want a comfortable place to rest our heads, so why shouldn't that apply to our children? Once kids make the transition from the confines of a crib to the vast freedom of a big bed, a pillow is a whole new addition to your child's sleep environment, and finding the perfect one can be difficult.

The Latex Kids pillow is perfect in size and design, ensuring a calm and restful sleep and is suitable for your little one's first pillow. Its low profile (5cm) reduces pressure on the back of your baby's head by 50% and increases support by 80%, thus helping to prevent flat head syndrome.

When your baby sleeps in Organic Latex®, you can be sure that it sleeps on healthy, natural ingredients. This is due to the fact that the Organic Latex® is a gift from the earth, taken from tropical rubber trees. With micro-perforation (64 holes per 100 cm²) for maximum ventilation to keep body temperature constant.

Designed with safety in mind, it is lightweight, breathable and does not retain heat, thanks to its perforated construction, making it suitable for use by babies.

It is so healthy that it has been awarded CLASS I certification by Oeko-Tex, the global certification body for the health and safety of textile products. This means that the Latex Kids pillow is not only free of harmful substances, but also meets and exceeds the requirements for products intended to come into direct contact with babies – the strictest Oeko-Tex category. And because the Organic Latex® is inherently hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites and mold, it’s also ideal for those who suffer from allergies and asthma.

Gift – 100% cotton fabric carry bag.

Organic Latex

You care about what you eat, what you put on your skin, what you breathe inside your home. That makes sense – these things affect your health every single day.

But have you ever thought that for 1/3 of your life (roughly 25–30 years) your body is lying on a material that may release substances, retain moisture, or harbor allergens?

100% organic latex isn’t just a “good material”. It’s one of the most conscious choices you can make for your sleep – and for whatever touches your skin for so many hours every night.

From the tree to your bed – the real story

Latex starts as a white sap extracted through small incisions in Hevea brasiliensis trees in tropical regions. Each tree produces latex for 20–25 years without being damaged, while absorbing CO₂ throughout its life – rubber plantations act as natural carbon sinks. But when we say organic, we’re talking about a completely different level.

GOLS certification (Global Organic Latex Standard) means:

  • Cultivation without synthetic pesticides, fertilizers or herbicides
  • Fair working conditions & respect for local communities
  • Clean processing with no toxic waste or hazardous additives

Combine that with FSC (responsible forest management), OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (Class 1 – the strictest level, suitable even for babies) and eco-INSTITUT (testing for volatile organic compounds – VOCs, chlorophenols, heavy metals, formaldehyde etc.) and you have a material that has passed the world’s most rigorous filters. It’s not just “clean” – it has been tested and proven not to release anything harmful into the air of your bedroom.

How it actually feels when you sleep on it

  • Cool all year round → The open cell structure (usually 600+ micropores per 100 cm²) allows air to circulate freely. You don’t suffocate like you do on cheap synthetic polyurethane mattresses and pillows. Ideal for people who sweat in summer or experience hot flashes.
  • Support without sinking → It gently conforms to the body but has a light bounce-back. Your spine stays in natural alignment, meaning fewer back/neck pains in the morning.
  • Natural defense against allergies → It naturally resists dust mites, mold, fungi and bacteria – no need for chemical sprays or treatments. Perfect for children, people with asthma, rhinitis or sensitive skin.
  • Silent & motion-isolating → No creaking when you turn over, and virtually no motion transfer (much better than springs for couples).

A high-quality 100% organic latex mattress lasts 8–10 years without significantly losing elasticity or support. By comparison, many conventional mattresses start sagging after 4–6 years. So even if the initial investment is higher, you sleep better and come out ahead in the long run.

Unfortunately, the market is flooded with mattress materials labeled as “Latex” that contain zero natural rubber, no mention of country of origin, and zero certifications. Brightly colored foams (FOAM) with no certification at all, blends made from petroleum and toxic chemicals. Felt layers made from recycled rags of unknown origin.

Reliable producers/sellers show you current certificates – including the GOLS for 100% organic latex. If they hesitate or say “it’s not necessary”, better look elsewhere.

A small, realistic promise. We won’t tell you that you’ll sleep “like a baby” from the very first night or that all your problems will disappear.

But if you already pay attention to organic food, natural cosmetics, and the air you breathe, then sleeping on a material that respects both your body and the planet is the natural next step. Fewer irritations, cleaner sleep, greater peace of mind that you’re not inhaling anything suspicious. It’s worth trying.

Cotton

In selected products we use 100% percale cotton 200-233 threads. Cotton is a natural plant fiber suitable for spinning and fabric manufacturing. The advantages of cotton are its ability to absorb moisture and its good behavior in temperature changes. Cotton fabrics are healthy and "breathable".
